4th Corporate Venturing & Entrepreneurship Summit - Academics Meet Practitioners

The Corporate Venturing & Entrepreneurship Summit 2023," held in Rotterdam at Erasmus Enterprise, was a dynamic and successful event that took place on April 19th., 2023. The theme of the Summit was The Collaborative Edge: Using Corporate Venturing to Make a Positive Impact

This event brought together industry leaders, academics, and experts to explore the role of corporate venturing in driving positive change.

In the morning session, attendees heard insightful keynote speeches from Joost Matthijssen, Chief Strategy Officer at Nutreco, Paola Criscuolo, Professor at Imperial College Business School, Rob van der Horst, Director of Alliander New Business, and Sophie Manigart, Professor at Vlerick Business School.

After a networking lunch, participants engaged in a lively debate on "AI: Catalyst or Constraint for Radical Innovation?" with panelists including Christopher Tucci from Imperial College Business School, Wim Vanhaverbeke from the University of Antwerp, Deepti Panicker from SparkHealth, and Aruna Subramanian from Sabic Ventures.

The afternoon featured workshops covering topics such as corporate-startup collaboration tensions, firms' search preferences over time, corporate venture capital investment practices, navigating innovation ecosystems, and corporate venture capital investing for sustainability.
