3rd Corporate Venturing & Entrepreneurship Summit - Academics Meet Practitioners

The Corporate Venturing & Entrepreneurship Summit 2023," held in Rotterdam at Erasmus Enterprise, was a dynamic and successful event that took placeon March 16th, 2022. The theme of the Summit was Connecting the dots.

The morning session featured keynote speakers who set the stage for thought-provoking discussions, including Professor Ard-Pieter de Man from VU Amsterdam, Mirjam Ros, co-author of 'The Innovation Matrix,' Wendy Kwaks from the Ministry of Defense, and Associate Professor Francesco Di Lorenzo from Copenhagen Business School.

After a networking lunch, attendees reconvened for the highlight of the day: "The Debate" session. Here, experts engaged in a lively discussion on whether firms learn more from failures or successes. The esteemed participants in the debate included Ernst Hoestra, CEO of Erasmus Enterprise; Prof. Pursey Heugens from RSM; Ass. Prof. Dirk Deichmann, also from RSM; and Helen Kardan, Senior Manager of Strategic Business Development at ASML.

In the afternoon, attendees participated in insightful workshops covering various topics such as innovation strategy, ecosystems beyond buzzwords, corporate-start-up collaborations in the digital age, and collaborative innovation during crises.
